Patches and Pointed Inc was founded in 1999 by Chris Lowe & Brenda Ward who had a vision of setting up a specialized club specifically for patched and pointed cats (therefore it would be a specialist club based on colour - the first and still the only one of its type in NZCF.

About our ‘Cat of the Year’ 2025 Show

Every year, cat enthusiasts from across the country gather to witness the finest felines strut their stuff on the grand stage. From majestic Maine Coons and exotic Bengals to elegant Siamese, and the charming Domestic Shorthair, our show brings together a spectacular variety of breeds and personalities under one roof. It’s not just about ribbons and rosettes and fabulous Prizes, it's about celebrating the unique bonds we share with our feline companions.

Highlights of the Day

Breed Competitions: Watch as cats compete in various categories for Best in Show
Meet the Breeders: Chat with knowledgeable breeders, learn about each breed’s quirks, and maybe even discover your future furry friend.
Adoption Corner: Give a loving home to a cat in need—local shelters will be on hand with adorable cats and kittens looking for families.
Merchandise Market: Explore stalls packed with unique cat toys, treats and accessories, purrfect gifts for yourself or your pet.
Raffles and Giveaways: Try your luck at hourly raffles for cat-themed goodies and A gorgeous Body Care box, Two large food Raffles.
Completing the day with the fabulous ‘Cat of the Year ‘ Club award ceremony. Awards that only Winners and Runners Up from any show from our September show 2024 until when our entries close 2025 can enter, This is a separate Club Award only.

Where to Come

The Venue is centrally located at Taradale High School gymnasium , on 7th September 2025 and is open to the public .
Ample parking is available. Please Remember: for the safety of all guests, only registered participant cats are allowed inside.
